  • The “Clash at the Border” is an official Qualifier for the 2024 Oregon Middle School Basketball Championship to be held in Central Oregon on March 1-3 (GIRLS) & March 8-10 (BOYS).  All teams finishing 1st or 2nd in each division will qualify for the State Championship to battle top teams from towns throughout Oregon.

Registration Deadline:    $275 Early registration:  postmarked or registered online by Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024

    $325 Late registration:  postmarked or registered online by Monday, January 22nd, 2024                

Game Times:    Saturday 8 am - TBD / Sunday 8 am - TBD

    4 games minimum guaranteed

    7-minute quarters, stop clock.  Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 5 minutes for warm-ups.

    Game schedules will be posted on Tourney Machine by Wednesday evening prior to games.

Divisions:    Boys: 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade / Girls: 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade

Entry Fee:    $275 if postmarked or registered online by 1/3/24

    $325 if postmarked or registered online by 1/22/24

AAU Membership:    This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc

  • All participants must have a current AAU membership

  • AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event

  • AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins

  • BE PREPARED!  Adult and Non-Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at the event.

  • Please allow at least 10 days for membership to be processed.

  • Participants are encouraged to visit the AAU website www.aausports.org to obtain their membership.

 

Roster:    The roster established at the time of the first game must be used throughout the entire tournament.      No additions or changes are permitted.  Players must have AAU cards purchased in advance to         participate.

 

Rules:    2023-24 High School Federation Rules.  Additional rules will be provided in coaches packets         given to coaches at the site of the first game.    

 

Scorekeeper:    Each team is to provide ONE person to sit at the scoretable and keep score on provided sheets.

    One scorekeeper for each team will be provided free entry each day.

    

Coaches:    Teams are allowed multiple coaches on the bench.  Only ONE coach per team will be provided         free entry each day.  All other coaches must pay admission.  ANY coaches on the bench must         have a current AAU card.
